What if the biggest limitation on your income isn't how hard you work, but HOW you've been taught to earn money?

Now, that's a question worth thinking about!

Most of us grew up with a fairly straightforward understanding of how money works.

Go to school, get a good education, find a decent job, work hard, climb the career ladder and hopefully earn a bigger salary.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with earning a salary!

After all, we all have bills to pay, families to support and responsibilities to take care of.

But here's something I want you to consider…

WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR INCOME WHEN YOU STOP WORKING?

For most people, the answer is pretty simple.

It STOPS!

​And that brings us to something I believe far more people need to understand.

When you earn a salary, you're generally exchanging your time, knowledge and skills for money.

You work, you get paid.

You stop working, and unless you have other arrangements in place, that income eventually stops.

That's what we call LINEAR INCOME.

But there's another way of thinking.

Instead of asking:

"How can I earn more money for the hours I work?"

What if you started asking:

"How can I build something that continues generating income beyond the hours I personally put into it?"

NOW we're having a different conversation!

That's where systems, assets, leverage and the potential for residual income come into the picture.

It could involve building a business with effective processes, developing a team, creating intellectual property, investing in income-producing assets or establishing something that can continue delivering value without requiring your direct involvement in every transaction.

​The key difference is that you're no longer thinking exclusively about what you can EARN.

​YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN BUILD!

They've spent so many years thinking in terms of a salary that the idea of building an income-producing system feels completely foreign.

They ask:

"How much will I get paid?"

"When will I start earning?"

"How many hours will I need to work?"

And those are perfectly reasonable questions.

But people who understand leverage often ask a different set of questions.

"Can this grow beyond my personal efforts?"

"Can I build processes that other people can follow?"

"Can the value I'm creating today continue producing income in the future?"

You see the difference?

One mindset is focused primarily on earning an income TODAY.

The other is also thinking about building something that could provide income TOMORROW.

​And here's something important.

Systems require work, investment, maintenance and sometimes significant risk. Not every business succeeds, and even established income streams can decline or disappear.

​But understanding how leverage works opens your mind to possibilities that a salary-only mindset might never consider.

One of the reasons I moved away from my corporate career and into entrepreneurship was because I wanted something more than just a bigger pay cheque.

I wanted greater control over my TIME.

I wanted to be present for my children.

I wanted to build something that wasn't entirely dependent on me being physically present every hour of the working day.

And over the years, I've come to appreciate the importance of systems, teamwork and developing other people.

Because here's the thing…

YOU CAN ONLY PERSONALLY WORK SO MANY HOURS IN A DAY!

But a well-designed business system has the potential to grow beyond what one person can accomplish alone.

​And that's a completely different way of looking at your financial future.

This is an hour-long video, and I'd encourage you not to treat it like another piece of content to scroll past.

SET ASIDE THE TIME. GET YOURSELF A NOTEBOOK. AND REALLY THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE HEARING!

As you watch, consider these three questions:

1.  Am I currently building an income-producing asset, or am I relying entirely on exchanging my time for money?

2.  What skills, systems or relationships would I need to develop to create income that isn't directly tied to every hour I work?

3.  What ONE action could I take over the next 30 days to begin moving towards a different financial future?

You don't have to agree with everything in the video.

But I do want you to challenge your thinking.

Because sometimes the greatest change in our financial future begins with changing the questions we ask ourselves.

STOP THINKING ONLY ABOUT YOUR NEXT PAY CHEQUE. START THINKING ABOUT WHAT YOU COULD BUILD FOR YOUR FUTURE!

​And remember, building a system that can produce income over time is a goal, not a promise that any particular opportunity will pay you for life.
