Let’s be honest everybody loves the idea of success, but very few are genuinely prepared to do what success in network marketing actually requires. They like the perks. They love the lifestyle. But when it comes down to the grind, the "No’s," the ignored messages, the awkward conversations, and the invisible work that builds momentum… that’s where many check out.
Here’s the truth that most don’t want to hear:
If you want true success in network marketing, you have to take massive action.
Success in this industry is 90% emotional and 10% skill. Why? Because before you even get good at what you’re doing, you’ll have to face rejection. You’ll have to keep showing up even when nobody claps for you. That’s not a technique issue, it’s an emotional toughness issue.
When you're new, every “No” can feel like a personal attack. But it’s not. You’ve got to emotionally detach yourself from the Yeses and the No’s. That means not getting too high when someone says yes and not getting too low when someone says no. Detachment is your armour. Without it, every conversation becomes a rollercoaster. With it, every conversation becomes data.
Let’s talk about the real enemy in your journey: doubt.
- “What if this doesn’t work?”
- “What if I’m not good at this?”
- “What if people think I’m annoying?”
You’ve got to silence that voice with action.
Because here’s the magic: Action is the antidote to fear.
And when you stack enough of the right actions, momentum kicks in and that’s when things start to get exciting.
When you’re brand new, you need to understand what your time should really be spent on:
- 80% PROSPECTING – This is active. Talking to people. Following up. Starting conversations. Booking calls. Making invitations. This is the engine of your business.
- 19% MARKETING – This is passive. Posting. Creating content. Stories. Reels. Yes, this builds your brand, but it won’t build your business on its own.
- 1% TROUBLESHOOTING – Don’t get caught up in logos, systems, overthinking your bio, or updating your tracker. Handle it quickly and move on.
Want real momentum? Then get off Canva and get into conversations.
This is where so many people go wrong. They spend hours making the perfect post, and then wonder why nobody is messaging them.
Marketing is passive. It waits for people to come to you.
Prospecting is proactive. You go to them.
You don’t get paid for likes. You get paid for people.
You don’t grow from attention. You grow from conversations.
Build a brand, yes. But build your pipeline first.
Let me bring this to life for you with a powerful example from within our own team.
